Emails from “dead ends”

“Dead ends” are transactional emails which do not need/expect any action or reply from the recipient. Transactional emails are sent to facilitate an agreed-upon transaction between the sender and the recipient and typically contain information a recipient wants or needs. Common transactional email use cases include account creation emails, password resets, purchase receipts, account notifications, and social media updates like friend and follower notifications.

Typical examples of “dead ends” include an order receipt, shipping confirmation, event notification, or a daily digest email. Most of the transactional email sent by web applications today are dead-ends.

⚠️ Attention: We advise NOT to create automated rules to remove/trash all emails from dead ends as some of them may be important to you (purchase receipts, transaction notifications, etc.)

Only emails in your Trash folder.
